1. Who we are

Crème Glacée Rebelle is a brand of Laiterie de l'Outaouais, located at 275, chemin Industriel, Gatineau (Québec) J8R 3V8.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number and shipping address, when you place an order;
• Your email address alone, if you sign up for the newsletter;
• The content of the messages you send us, along with your contact details;
• Information related to a food truck booking request;
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed.
• The content of the private messages and comments you send us on our Facebook and Instagram pages, along with your public display name and your Meta ID.

Payments are processed by Shopify. We never store your credit card numbers.

3. Why we collect it

• To process and deliver your orders;
• To answer your questions and requests;
• To send you the newsletter, if you have consented to it;
• To improve the site and understand how it is used;
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4. Cookies and measurement technologies

The site uses cookies necessary for it to function, notably for the shopping cart, as well as audience-measurement cookies. You can decline them the first time the site loads, or manage them in your browser.

The store locator map is embedded from a service that we operate. 

5. Who we share with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers necessary to our activities:

• Shopify, for hosting the store and processing payments;
• Our printing and shipping partners, for apparel orders;
• Our email delivery tool, for the newsletter.
• Supabase, n8n and Anthropic, for the system that replies to Facebook and Instagram messages described in section 9.

Some of these providers may host data outside Québec. We make sure they offer adequate protection.

6. How long we keep your information

Information related to an order is kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes. Other information is kept for as long as it serves the purpose for which it was collected, then destroyed.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you;
• Have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Withdraw your consent, notably to the newsletter;
• Request its deletion, subject to our legal obligations;
• Receive your information in a structured technological format.

Write to yo@rebelle.club. We respond within 30 days. If our response does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

8. Security

The site is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to information is limited to the people who need it. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we will inform the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information.

9. Replies to your messages on Facebook and Instagram

When you send us a private message or comment on a post on our Facebook and Instagram pages, we use a writing-assistance system to reply faster.

What this means in practice. The content of your message, your public display name and your Meta ID are stored in our database, then sent to Anthropic's API (Claude), which drafts a proposed reply.

A member of our team reads and approves every reply before it is sent. No reply is sent to you automatically. Questions involving allergens, health, a complaint or a refund are always handled by a human.

We collect nothing beyond what Meta passes to us with your message: not your email address, not your phone number, and no payment data. We do not look at your profile beyond that, and we do not use these messages for targeted advertising.

The providers involved in this system are Supabase (database hosting), n8n (automation) and Anthropic (drafting the proposals). They process this information on our behalf and may host it outside Québec.

These conversations are kept 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted. You can request their deletion before that period: see the Deleting your data page.
